The “PE” versions are designed for use in ATEX zones classified as “Zone 1 – 2” and “Zone 21 – 22” i.e. where the installed equipment must provide a high level of protection both in the presence of gas, vapour and mist mixtures (Zone 1) and in the presence of combustible dust and particles (Zone 21). LifEx-PE has Equipment Protection Level Gb, Db. This safety feature is ensured by a combination of Ex db be mb protection modes for gases and Ex tb for dust.
